On first look, you are feeding back output from amp1 to amp2 and vice versa,
in this case it is very unlikely that the fb does reduce distortions ?

You do raise a good point. The circuit would work best with balanced drive but you would have doubled the slew rate and almost four times the power (assuming an ideal power supply) and feedback should correct for some of the distortion.
I have a gut feeling this would turn out to be a great amp...........I have been considering this topology for some time......I need to get around to building it.............

I woud think we might have to ask Mr.Pass that question.
It just came to me that if we made each gain stage inverting would it not then qualify as an X-Amp.

I ment inherent distortion in the amp rather than the possible added distortion added by bridgeing the amp.

Yes, but with x2 doing nothing you have no bridged operation, the 2nd
amp needs to work exactly inverted to amp1 ?

A signal is present across R1 which is the input to X2 which is the inverting portion of the amp.

that reminds a bit of a circuit I invented for some 10 years ago which gave a spatial stereo effect! 😀
