Nice looking amplifier. Could you post the schematic.
Did bridgeing the amp this way improve the sound.

Jam
P.S. I need to learn to read Czech....................
The amp is based on schematic shown here:
http://web.telecom.cz/macura/pm_ab_er1.gif
4 modules are used, 2 + 2 for stereo amp. Bridgeing brings advantage of CMV rejection, it effectively rejects (subtracts) mains components, so it is quite easy to use 1 power supply, which usually brings groundloops (hum) problem.
More can be seen here, partly in english.

I think y'all are suffering from iron-poor blood.
Forget about all those complex circuits. Get your differential input stage and VAS stage all in one using just two lengths of wire and a chunk of iron.
Power supply quality issues? What power supply?

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

Let's invite Susan Parker in here, she knows how to make a transformer amplify ..

Why? The transformer already knows.

Especially very efficient when amplifying POWER ...

Aye. But of course I was only speaking of the input/VAS stage portion of the amplifier which is what spurred the original thread.

I'm thinking about it. But it's most likely for Steve's ironwork...
PMA said:Are you heating your own soup Steve?
Nah. Just in a smartass mood this morning.

Ok, ok. I'll leave you pale and pasty anemics to yourselves.

Steve,
I was waiting for that !
I wouldn't argue with Steve, John Curl has already pronounced him as a genius at the Audio Asylum......................

I think he means "software." Perhaps he's asking what software you used to create that John Curl animation.

Ah, thought so.
Actually I'm the one who created it using a combination of JASC's PaintShop Pro and Animation Shop as well as Xara for the text.
