I have been using this power supply for a while now. I noticed that even at a load current of 150mA or 600mA, LM317 and TIP41C work at about the same temperature. Quite big.
Is it normal that regardless of the current drawn from the source, the heat dissipation should be the same?
It's unrealistic to expect a good bass reproduction in circuit where you adopted 1µF input coupling capacitor with R5=22k (bases of input transistor to ground - this resistor heavily determines input resistance).
You need at least 4.7µF as input coupling cap if you want nice bass reproduction.
