Another update for the PCBs.

The Gerber files have just been sent to Variac for his review and process to prototyping this morning.
Both the main amplifier and the PSU PCBs.

Dave,

I think it would be useful to give some info on heat sink size and overall dimensions.

Hi Patrick,

The overall dimensions are approximately 17.4" wide x 12.7" deep x 7.2" tall (roughly 442mm x 322mm x 183mm). The heatsinks themselves are 12.2" deep, 2.3" thick, and about 7" tall (310mm x 58.4mm x 177.8mm). The heatsinks have 22 fins.

Overall it is wider than your case and slightly shorter in depth.

Very cool fitzfish.

The shipping prices for the Hifi2000 cases really hurt here in the US. Definitely keep us updated on your case project. It might be a great solution for another build I have planned.

Default I like this thread

the case(s) look great. I hope there is enough interest to keep some options open for the next round.

Thanks,
Ryan

It looks like we shall not be using up the entire 25 batch quota.
If you are really interested, you may sign up in the GB thread as reserve, as an exception.

Hi Rich,

The PCB’s are still well within the prototyping phase and are not yet available.

Here is the latest update:

pmchoong,

Contact zhoufang for matched 2SK1530/2SJ201, you need 4 matched pairs NNNNPPPP (all to 10mV). Be prepared to pay around $28 a pair.

There has been a small GB from Sumr, that is now closed, at this stage you’ll have to source the transformers yourself.

Cheers
John

Thanks John.
You can either use 2SK1530 or 2SJ201, correct? 4 matched pairs of either types, true? At usd28 per matched pair, thats pretty high.
