I told you that things will speed up once the members see your posting :)
please try to post a BOM or a schematic, but better a list of components with refference to farnell's site eventually so that european customers know where to source their components from; this way, the interested customer is being able to better approximate the final cost of the board taking into account the price of the components or their alternatives. Do you happen to have a finished/assembled board to post a picture of it? thanks

edit: also, it would be nice to make a google spreadsheet so that buyers place their orders and everyone should see the actualized number of requests; it is also good for possible future GB's when more and more interested people will come up. it's very good to see a cheaper alternative to these ESS dacs so that everyone could try and make their first impressions :)

Do you provide a schematic together with pcb ?
For example i have some questions:
- what is IC1, 2, 3 on Spdif side?
- i suppose Ic7, and Ic 8 are for I/U conversion and Ic9 is unbalancer but what is purpose of Ic 4 ?
- i would like to see a picture of the other side of pcb.

Interested but need some more info please;

1. Is a schematic available; one would probably answer a lot of questions.
2. Can you provide info on the analogue output stage, what does it use etc.
3. If it is using 'cheap' regulators, can these be easily bypassed with a higher quality DC supply?
4. You mention i2s input but I can't see it on the board?
5. Can it be used with an external master clock?
6. Are suggestions to changes to the PCB possible or is it already set in stone? Some flexibility might generate more interest.

I suspect some people (like me) will be daunted by the prospect of soldering surface mounted components; is a pre-populated board (with smd components) a possibility?

Typical! I've had another look at the board and I can now see the answers to 3 & 4; it appears you can connect a DC supply above the regulators on the lower left and the i2s input is above the three spdif inputs.

I would still appreciate extra information as per my other points.

Thanks again.
