Have you ever considered buying a roll of Kapton tape. You can get at least 1000 units from one roll. Make holes with a standard leather hole punch. The cuts are extremely clean and you could make a small pattern to position each hole.
That is a steep sum of money for isolators.

Digikey sells the aluminum nitride devices for the same amount.

Just a suggestion.

yes. This solution is a much better approach.

As for the expense, sit down and do the math and figure out how much more heat sink you'd need to get similar results as using these isolators.
