Noticed that you haven't got done the chamfers on the rear of the driver cut outs; you'll get some saw dust on your lining / stuffing later.

I asked Bob about that, he said that due to the depth of the recess for the Alpair 7.3 it wouldn't be necessary to chamfer the back of the cut out.

the stuffing in the point needs to reach to the top of the partition.

Then you need to fluff it out some more so that 30g fits. When i did it it was not easy stuffing 30g in that space. Properly flufifng the polystuff is not done quickly.

I got one speaker filled with 30g, is sure take a while to fluff it out that much. Will work on the other one tomorrow.

Good move Reima. I recall that one builder in the UK initially sealed his FH3s with blue tack before gluing up.

We listened to the FH3 for a while last night. My wife's asked: why does it sound so much better than your speakers at home? (I built these at my son's house in PA). The speakers at home are a diy Bamberg Labs design using Dynaudio drivers (a la Gemini) in a MTM format, about 20 years ago they cost more than double that the FH3 cost me.

I need to add outriggers to my FH3s as they will be used on a carpeted floor. Are these suitable:

As long as you’re not concerned about damage to carpets or flooring, I’m sure they’d be fine. I think you could bypass the threaded inserts and just screw directly into the vertical side panels - that I did with the aluminium outrigger bars that we had machined up for the FH3 kits a few years ago.

Can you suggest a better set of outriggers? Do you have a photo of the ones you had made?

The Al bars which Chris refers to are simplier than those, and are tapped for the PE DDS4(?) spikes, where you can screw off th epoints and put a felt-pad on the bottom.

I don’t have a better photo. They have worked on a number of other builds too including FHXL.
