glass fuses can be very good conductors while blowing. at high currents the metal evaporates creating a highly conductive gas, capable of conducting 100's of amps.
sometime you seen these fuses with the metal on the inner side of the glass tube.
the electronics that had to be protected is definitively destroyed.
sandfilled cedramic fuses avoid the metal from evaporating, and quench a possible sparkover. if the fuse is fed from a mains supply the peak current capacbility can be in the order of 100-1000's of amps. glass fuses can only switch off currents below 40amps

Does anyone knows a soft start module working with the Abletec ALP0400 PS? I would like to control (activate) the soft start by the digital pre (Audiophonics PGA8) and then the ALP0400. A suggestion for a loudspeaker protection board working with the L15D pro amplifier it would be also greatly appreciated.
