R4 sets the gain of the bias loop during positive half-waves, when Q13 is in control of the bias current in Q10.

R14 compensates for Q12 dynamic resistance.

R24 also controls and equalizes the gain of the bias loop.

These are summary explanations, but the role of these components has been explained in much greater details in the Circlophone thread (somewhere...)
 
Let's bring home the theme of forum this to five stars. :)

Around this amplifier I listen to at home for over 25 years.
It's all in the Soviet transistors.
it actively controls the output stage so that both sides always remain active in a "warm" class AB, having most of the attributes of the full class A,
... offers excellent performance even with 2N3055's,
... and behaves gracefully, even with loads lower than 2R.
