Testing new power supply. No hum at all audible when all faders are up on +10 dB, headphone amp all the way up. Only noises from microphone preamps. Oscilloscope on 5mV/div shows no ripples at all.
I am satisfied. Time to mount the PS. New holes have to be drilled, it is thicker now, so old holes do not fit. However, one wire had to be soldered outside, I forgot about +42V anode power for UV meters.

Some interesting projects here.
Just working on a couple of things.
Amp cases for MoFo Power Follower.
Was making a prototype for a balanced power unit.
Decided to not pursue the venture.
Just remembered I need a high gain preamp for the MoFo.
Red boards in the background are for a BA-3 frontend.

Soldered all pieces together and have (almost) finished a Noise Toaster from MFOS.
Also, got a TPA3116 installed in my favourite plastic boxes.
The amp works great, but the microsynth has to be debugged.

Wooden sleeve for a vintage Fisher 202T tuner-pre rescued from an old console.
Tight fit - not a lot of overlap on the front panel to achieve any fancy bevel detailing, so just went simple. QC Sapele veneer on BB ply.
and yes, I definitely subscribe to the "tidy workbench is a sure sign of OCD" philosophy - although whenever I do clean up, I find a couple of extra Olfa knives and tape measures.

Got a bass guitar, so I built a little 45W 4x6". Two are in a small 4th order bandpass, isobaric, and two provide the mids. Sounds quite nice. I used bits and pieces I already had. I only put together a small 10x gain preamp buffer extra.

And now after a few weeks (I should actually say months), I have completed this (the carport).
An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.
Mrcloc, you can cover them to make art deco works of them. It is possible to make them into quite pleasing wall coverings.
I know, but not in my house.
That's pretty cool, but WAF is about 0.
If you're referring to Cal's latest Cornus - I'm guessing you've not met his wife
