15-mm seems not to be common spec in that value, can someone confirm that? In the US, available from Newark @$3.15 ea, plus $20 freight.

I have lots of smps computer power supplies, what do you think, adding some windings to the transformers will give higher voltages... they are shielded and ventilated... are they worth reworking them for ie +-35Vdc?

Unless I am mistaken, computer power supplies (PC supplies) are like a different animal. More than transformer changes would be required to make one work.

The SMPS800 (800W) from Connexelectronic seems like overkill, even if you derate it 50%. Not sure the logic behind specifying a regulated supply, but there are probably some inexpensive linear regulated power supply designs that you can build for very little $$ (or buy online). Might be interesting to try a cheap linear regulated supply b/f spending 100 Euro if on a budget.

As you can see I try to find the most musical speakers possible which are still normally sized. My Trios are just too big for presentations.

SWISSsonor BACH12 were also connected, even more bass, not so coherent, WAF unacceptable and just too big.

Among all three speakers Zu Soul Supreme was the best, most coherent, vivid and super dynamic, listening the vinyls was one of the best sounds I ever encountered.

I like old idler wheel Thorens on the picture. It seems that it it is in very good condition. But the real monster idler wheel would be to have EMT930!

Is there any (reasonably priced) Zu Union around to try it with VSSA?

I recommend Zu Soul Supreme. There are also cheaper Zu models but this one has the same tweeter as their top Dominance model and it is one of the best.
