Hello Head 1962,
Measurements are on listening position. Off axis DX3 !!
BTW ; I'm 63 years old I do not hear it anyway!
Never listen to the DX3 on axis ; several peaks .
But there is a lot of energy in the highs , good imaging etc. This is , for me , the first time I really enjoy the DX3.

If I have a chance I'll listen to the saba's one time ; heard good things about them.
Last day I had the possibility to try different drivers : the AER mk1.
Took some minor adjustments in my ZEN x-over.
drop-in-replacement.
For those interested : The DX3 needs a contour in the schematic ; The AER not.
Efficienty of both is about the same (AER claims to be louder).
The AER is smoother perhaps a bit more allround.
DX3 bit more attack ; like a dynamic electrostatic.

Hi Jeff , nice 2 meet l it's been a while!
I have been posting on several other forums.
But it was nice 2 share this concept.
In the pic; what U see is actually 2 complete sets.
The large towers are active driven.
2x eton 11 inch , 2 x 17cm kevlar midrange & dual magnet Ti tweet.
AR ls1 pre ; dbx driverack pa , Vincent sav p200.
the last being 6x200 watts.
It's about 42 kilo's but I biased in about 5 watt class A ; so has 2 be on top!!
The other amp is a Jungsson 32 kilo's also class A so......
At least U will not run it over!!
The BIG Green OB's are a wednesday afternoon project.
just came 2 my mind.
Wanted 2 go passieve again.
They sound awesome !!
I do a lotta projects with high school kids in the Netherlands.
They can design & build their own speakers at my place.
I learned more about x-overs the last 4 years then in 40 years before.
So the DX3 with 2 woofs is passieve with , what I call , a ZEN x-over ; less is more!!
Do hope U 're doing OK??
Leon.

This speaker by Gerrit Boers certainly deserves a notion in this thread!

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.
I'm impressed !! How do you keep the FE126 (?) vertical with thin lines ? Lotta tension?
