I am working on data for the TSSA V4 and V8

The main difference in the two models are higher working voltage on TSSA V8 and the use of double die mosfets instead of single die

Therefore the Max working voltage on the TSSA V4 is +/-60VDC and for the TSSA V8 75VDC.

Data below is not precise as it depends on the Powersupply you use... For this reason this is simulation data.

Simulation on the power for the TSSA V4 at 60V is:

8R = 180W
4R = 360W
2R = 620W
1R = 780W (Overcurrent protection kicks in at about 28Arms, if not enabled it will be ~1KW or 31Arms)

Simulation on the power for the TSSA V8 at 75V is:

8R = 310W
4R = 620W
2R = 1070W
1R = 1800W (Overcurrent protection kicks in at about 43Arms)

Bandwidth of the TSSA Amp will be the same...

All powerlevels is at 0.1%THD

Is it possible to get 150W/300W/600W at 8R/4R/2R, when supplying one 40VAC transformer? Is 625VA transformer for one channel OK?

An 625VA per channel will be just fine.

You will get 150W/300W/510W/670W for 8R/4R/2R/1R.

In 2R it is a voltage limit more than current limit, due to the relatively high Drain - Source voltage drop at high currents.

In 1R load it is the current limiter that kicks in but it is very soft..

I Hope it answers some questions.

Any news on V1.7SE, V1.8 and V2? If I remember right, V1.7SE is a special edition V1.7 with expensive / best parts, V1.8 is a V1.7 mark II and V2 a 2 pair of mosfets little brother to V4 / V8? Any prelimenary prices and / or release dates yet? Impressive lineup, btw - not to forget a promising usb dac, three different output boards and a coming balanced preamp (with RIAA module?) Take care - and don't forget to rest :) We can wait - health can't...
