Right now I've got green terminal blocks, black IC's, gray inductors, blue film caps, silver polymer caps and brown electrolytic caps. I s'pose I could change the input caps to red wima's, get a yellow circuit board and I'd have a harlequin wiener...

Or not. I'll stick with black. I maintain the dark color absorbs photons that could otherwise reflect and induce circuit noise by the photoelectric effect, 'cause who knows, the occasional photon might make its way through an IC or capacitor package. In doing so it improves the noise performance of the board by 0.00000000000006% or so, which totally makes a night/day difference in the soundstage

Assuming these guys use the same fab as seeed/itead/dirtypcbs, silkscreen quality is pretty much random, but overall pretty decent. I use 0.8128mm, 16% ratio Eagle vector font for component designators and it's always been readable enough to use.

After having a chat with the production engineering guys at work, I changed the pogo pin PCB design from "sparkfun style" with stacked PCBs/chinese pins to a single PCB using mill-max 0908 type pins. More reliable, mechanically simpler and I can snag the pins from Mouser along with everything else I need.

With that done, the elecrow order is made - thanks doctormord for the suggestion. Got 50 wiener PCBs and 5 test jig PCBs coming, with 3 day DHL shipping. They return to work on the 25th, 1 week turn on the PCB brings us to march 4th-5th, so PCBs should hopefully arrive on my doorstep monday the 9th.

Here's hoping that crowd making the PCBs aren't hung over after new years
