Ok im fighting with this amp again. I bought and tryed 2N5565, 25$ four two pieces. No big change, normal voltage Vcc/Vee 63V/61V. Same schematic posted http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/soli...lifier-i-have-ever-heard-241.html#post3935555
Only when i replaced R16 180R, R17/18 390R. Voltage jumps to 70V max on Vcc, Vee 68V. Vas stage is very hot, specially T7/8. Voltages between R1/2 2,97V and 2,98V. R3/4 75mV/74mV.

Note that its not ideal wave.

Dc out jumps from allmost 0 to 22mV.

Can you measure the voltage on R16=180Ω?

Ok amplifier can behave strangely. Sometimes voltage can rise to about 99V Vcc/Vee, dc is almost 55V, behaving like T7/8 is not working, because its no voltage on R16 :D, and can back to normal working area, when touching source resistor R3/R4? On R1/R2 177mV/97mV, R3 68mV & R4 83mV. On output scope shows nothing, just voltage.
When working R16 2.09V, R17 2,19V and R18 2,25V.
Yes it changes when i try to measure voltage on R3/R4!! :)

Mystery
can you put BD250C-249C?

The question is what you think of the amplifier. Does the sound quality live up to that world beating "The very best amplifier I have ever heard" title?

If you were looking for comments on the build, I'd post this in the sticky thread "Post your solid state pics here". It seems quite a good build and interesting by the way, in that you appear to have milled rather than etched the PCB or that just due to the source pattern?

Re: Golmund clone

Fine tuning step by step inside the box
test 100khz -200khz with 8Ω load = 44.7 V RMS before clip 126 pk-pk = 250 W
1khz with 1mf - 8Ω
10khz with 1mf - 8Ω
20khz with 1mf - 8Ω
90 mA per mosfet.
