"They" are watching all of the time so - as you know, just because I am paranoid doesn't mean that they are not watching me.

"They" may not be the one's watching us that you think they are...:eek::eek:

Yea mighty transformer relic,

is it possible for an EI-66 core to do 90VA ?

(turns out our little 350Vac mains mishap in december also blew up the primaries of the electric motor adjustment of our bed)

damn Dutchie Srbijanac

(width/3 x height of stack x 0.9)^2 =VA of core ; [cm] , [VA]

if it's little on wimpy side , slightly higher Us will compensate for core lossesssssesss , considering intermittent usage

considering intermittent usage

Taking 15% regulation off, still remains 78VA.
(one transformer was saved by the slow blow 630mA fuse soldered inbetween the 2x115Vac primaries, rectified cap juice is 29Vdc)
Things weigh 835 gram, would beat the weight/VA factor of a toroidal.

Similar 66x55 sized ones I can find, don't go higher than 50VA
(35mm blech thickness, original ones do 30mm).

I could saw through the spot welds on both sides of the core, rewind the sheits, and weld the iron again.
