perfect ;

however , if you want DC CDI , you need that , 12V reg + cap , too

isn't better DC CDI , and just small accu ?

I want to elliminate the battery and I will not have any other consumers then ignition so Im thinking a perma magnet would be simplest and lightest. I mailed those C5 to see if they can give me directions about voltage and current speces for such a devise for their system.

ZM good article. That system still needs a distributor to send the spark to the right place. Two diy triggers & two junkyard ignition modules would be cheap enough but still need a 12v source. The magneto seems less parts. I might carry a battery and skip breakfast to get back the weight.

Any idea how much the bike will weigh?

I bet Stajo's best chance is to just go to local mcycle salvage/SH part store and pick what's looking most appropriate
say small rotor with magnet tip and pickup coil from any honda

then any DC CDI for 4 cyl , with original HT coils ; they're (at least to my knowledge ) all based on single pickup impulse , and both advancing and distribution are made electronically in CDI

though , I believe Stajo's drek will have plenty of RPMs , so purchasing something new , along with know how , could be smartest thing

in any case - they (suede flying Dodossess) could pay that with 2hr beer bill

:rofl:
