IN some of the layouts i have seen that use a transformer for SE to Bal conversion, you see a trim pot or resistor across the secondaries. What is the purpose of this resistor. I remeber in the F6 thread you spoke of such an option and said to use trimpot to adjust squarewave response.

I will be using Jensen 123 FLPCH. It is quadrifilar and I will parallel the primaries and secondaries. A buffer will feed it and it will drive XLR cables to the preamp. I have included a spot for both a resistor and pot. Just wasn't sure if it is something to worry about in this application.

Like a lot of the super high tech military gear - it cost a bunch and is over budget, late in delivery, and can't do half of the stuff it was supposed to do... Pretty much like the F-22 and F-35 fighters designed in USA... or the DDG 1000 class of US Navy ships..... I pray that one of these dayz we will smarten up and stop all of this armed conflict stuff.... we should know better by now...

Landcrab again. And after a Visby-class... What could be more appropriate
Trip went well. We almost rammad a museum on the way out (propeller kavitation at full reverse) had one stop due to cold engine pretty early, almost rammed a partyboat coming quick out from shore (I steered and navigated), One more stop for changing an inhaust rubber thingy, but all in all everything went smooth.
