historically - I think A7 is "clone" of that one
but , I can be wrong ( as usual )
According to their web-site that is either a clone or a rebuild of a Western Electric M3 sound system used in movie theaters back in the mid 1930's -
Brian should be able to remember those days and tell you a bit more perhaps....
Here is a photo of one of their speakers as posted on their web-site.
BTW - their product history sez that they have been making stuff since 2001.
I'm pretty sure that Brian can see a little bit of his friend's work in this design....
