The Pass Pub: The High-End Off Topic Thread

Now for the good news. All of my troubles are over!!! I have just won 500,000 British Pounds in a sweepstakes!!! Man - that's the 2nd sweepstake I have won this year!!!!

Oh Yeah - some hot babe wants to meet me for a video chat too!!!!

Lucky.... All I ever get is offers for free pills to make my trouser pinkey bigger.
Oh, and viagra.

So I'm apparently I'm short floppy and need pills for it....

I just came home now from stupid work.
The sky is blue.
The grass is green.
The beer is yellow. (and cold.)
My cat is like a beautiful flower.
He is graceful but cruel than life.
Perhaps as consolation, now comes the highlight of the week:
The Big Bang Theory.
The life is beautiful.
But not me,
I miss my son terrible.
He was similar as Sheldon.
He was an I.Q. about 170.
Mine only about 130.
True, on the English language I did not understand half of the questions.
Still, I'm a shadow, and he was the sun.
I endless miss my son.
I'm not saying he was not a simple personality.
But he was a charming personality.
Kardomba dőlök.

Gyuri,

You are very honest...you do not blame the fates, you do not show any anger at your great loss - you simply are very sad and hurt due to your loss; a loss which leaves you very much less than you were when all was well and you felt complete. I think I once before quoted Goethe regarding such personal pain. If I did it still is true enough to repeat:

"Some bear their anguish in silent grief,
But the Gods gave me a voice to utter all my pain"

If you have been given the voice you must utter the pain. To be silent and what some people call "brave" will turn that pain too much inward and it will break through in less acceptable form. There is a big psychological study of this based on the reactions of parents who lost - between them - a very big number of sons and daughters when a nightclub near Boston suffered a firestorm. Those who attempted to be "brave" and "controlled" were studied over many years - as were those who were so grief stricken that they could only weep. The result was that the parents who were "brave" and "useful" were those with the highest divorce rates, highest alcoholism rates, highest business failures, etc etc. The pain was not acknowledged and turned inwards and consumed them. THose who were grief stricken - in every way - had the most balanced and successful lives after that terrible night.

Goldwing would be a very comfortable bike at the IOM TT....especially the model with the 'barbecue grill' attached in place of sidecar. You could ride around - behind the back rider - and stop and sell hotdogs to the riders who have fallen off.;)
