flo - be careful to not starve bunnyfunny bjt in Aleph CCS

SS Ugs is smaller than for honkin' mosfet

buzz - congrats

:devilr:

What would we be starving the bjt of in this circumstance. I want to say current, because of the nature of BJT, but you seem to indicate voltage. I am trying to understand how other alternatives change this condition. It makes sense in terms of current, but not voltage.

c-e voltage - just few volts

cure , while staying with same concept - terra incognita , at least for me ; and it will stay like that

I think Wensan covered some options

http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/search.php?searchid=5534912

read carefully and think hard ;)

I am a novice wrt the ACCS but I found the following

http://www.pmeweb.co.uk/audio/Aleph.pdf

ZM, I believe it is what you are referring to (your search above unfortunately gave no results)

Obviously feel free to correct what I am thinking

Thanks

from some reason , link with all Wensan's threads from search is ooked ;

I meant directly on this thread : http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/pass-labs/37038-excellent-srpp-power-amp-mosfet.html

you found interesting Aleph article , which we already know , but that one is covering other "issue" of Aleph CCS - near clipping behavior - where (yes!) small bjt in Aleph CCS is sorta starved , but from other reasons

Wensan tried few iterations , including SRPP/mu follower OS variation , where still present Aleph -like mechanismus is having small bjt's emiter folded around two resistors , resulting in higher working voltage for small critter

HeHeHe. Me figured out nother Zen spot or Zen pot.....cant remember :devilr:

@Flochini,
Most of the FW stuff works best in single pair config. Not to say you cant do more, but I would make sure I like single first. Aleph Jango has plenty to grab on to. If you want more. More pairs may or may not do it. Did it for F5T over f5, which I always found thin and analytical. Then again, I didnt know/think about P3 at that point. Stock f5t vs stock f5 is much warmer and smooth.
