Hi Victor, iso-tango FC-40-5S is ~ 69000 yen each. Hashimoto H-30-5S is 61000 yen. About the same price…?

Hi, where did you find the ISO FC-40-5s opt at a ~69k yen/opt price - the lowest I found was 77,400 yen/opt on the ISO site (https://isotransformers.tokyo/カタログ/) and $665/opt on the http://www.tubesusa.com/ISO-SEoutput.html site. Thanks.

Hi Victor,

Can the Lundahl OPT LL1688 (specs: https://www.lundahltransformers.com/wp-content/uploads/datasheets/1688.pdf) be used instead of the stock OPTs on the SunValley SV-S1628D - the 211/845 amp?. It is listed as 5.5 kohm and 'designed for 845 tube'. I use Lundahl OPTs in my elekits purchased from Victor (and love them) and these Lundahls are less expensive than the Hashimoto and ISO variants listed above.

AS I said FC40.5 is double the price. You need to consider the shipping from Japan too.
I am asking Sunvalley to source for me. The price should be lower.
At the current low JPY, I will consider the Hashimoto and ISO. FOR Lundahl I need to make a PCB to confiigurate the output. Also Lundahl do not offer 16 ohm impedance.
Please stay tuned the pricing of the upgraded opt from Japan.

Mr Ohashi comfirmed with me. H30.5 is sufficient for 211/845 amp
For amplifiers with transformer-driven circuits and outputs of 30W or more, the H40-10S would be the preferred choice
So we will offer H30.5.. I only have 4 pairs . The price is JPY 56,000 x 2 plus shipping

Generally speaking a pair of regular 845 or 211s will costs ~ 350+ including shipping. Decent ones will cost 450++ a pair not including shipping. The days of cheap 845s are long gone.

Normal linlai 300Bs are ~ 300 a pair. The comparable 845 or 211 of similar quality will be roughly 15 to 20% more. The NOS 845 or mil-spec 211s are mostly collector prices ie multiple $k. and best to buy from sellers who have 1000+V curve tracing equipment. Nice modern 845s are around 800 to 2000 a pair

There's a new 45 kit coming out?! ? I can't see it on the Elekit site. When is it due to be released?
