Hi All

I've updated the Recap Google doc and shipped 17 parcels today.
You'll find there Tracking number and the weblink for checking your parcel.
The system requires some times to be updated ;)

Unfortunately, I've messed myself with one cap ref (Cled for PSU).
I've ordered in 1205 package while 0805 was required...
It explains why I've shipped orders without PSU parts kits.
I've placed the order & wait for the delivery.
I think to be abble to complete remaining orders late next week.
I'm very sorry for this inconvenience.

For Assembly Service subcribers, I'll send you a Paypal request when assembly/testing will be done and your DAC packed.
I've planned to send assembled/tested DAC within 10 days.

Regards

Phil

What about BOM and building instructions?

Ask Jean -Paul or maybe Korben for the shematics and BOM list.

Follow the good thread open by BMCBOB for assembly : http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/digi...ead-building-subbu-dac-v3-se.html#post3689793 : read carefully the first page !

Some god advices on the http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/vendors-bazaar/246003-modifying-subbu-v3-dac.html#post3705861 and http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/vendors-bazaar/246003-modifying-subbu-v3-dac-48.html#post3981674
If you can challenge the main 10 uf caps (I advised Panasonic SEP 10 uf) with Nichicon KZ Muse 20 uF 50V (or 100V if you don't find the 50V but not 25V): without soldering it : make your own listening test and choose what you prefer : the KZ can be good in some system if trebles are already soft with your speaker...)

Hi All

About schematics, Jean Paul don't want them to be published.
OTOH you need some references to build the DAC & PSU.
So, push me a PM for missing informations.

I'll post some pics of the assembly process in the Build Thread.

I've planned to pack remaining Kits (Parts / PCB / ES9023) this WE.
I've received missing PSU caps this morning.
Assembly Service is underway and progressing well ;)

Phil

Hi All

I'm glad to tell I've shipped all remaining parcels this morning ;)
I've updated Google form Recap document.

One subscriber sent me no informations and hasn't paid his order...
BTW there's one Kit available for sale, PM for details. :smash:

Assembly Service is underway too, today is dedicated to soldering session

Sorry for threadjacking but if an upgrade is wished for the PSU then our new PSU can be used with quite good results. It was originally meant for use with the Squeezebox Touch but since it is a 5V power supply it can also be used with the V3 DAC (and every other device that needs 5V 3A max.). Voltage can be changed with changes to some components.

Jean Paul , Phil a big thank you for your efforts . Parcel arrived in Australia today.

You must have a steady hand and lots of patience to separate , label and pack the tiny componenets . Congratulations :)

Hi sandro600

I'm glad to read you've been quickly and safely delivered
Thank you for your kind words.
Yes, sorting, labelling & packing those tiny bugs takes some time :D

You're welcome for any requested help ;)
Have fun building this DAC, and then enjoy listening to it !

Regards

Phil
