Purple monkey is not English, just me being silly. Crazy idea.
In this case, the anti-triode (lower half of your WCF and/or
upper half of my plate follower) were both the crazy ideas.
I happen to think both ideas are crazy good. And I think
both can and should be used together.

Hi kenpeter

I changed the passive current source to an active one. Does that come close to that what you had in mind?

Cheers

That one's certainly active, but also a follower with slew
limited pull down, and near unlimited pull up. Asymmetrical
because the pull up current is not measured or compared
to pull down to make sure its "Anti". What you got is more
commonly known as "Mu Follower" topology.

Now, Anti-Triode would require tapping the load halfway into
your 0.22R. Right smack in the middle... That the sum of push
and pull current is held to a constant 1 emitter voltage drop.
Guaranteeing that both currents are anti-complimentary.

Aleph base follower impedance is probably a lot less than
your .22R, so I don't think that alone makes slew balance.
Though the ideal spot within the .22R might be off center,
I've not found Aleph Z offset to be significant in my sims.
Resistance center is plenty close enough.

Otherwise, looks like you got it...
