Sorry is there a track number to track it?
You will get a mail from me with tracking number when your goods are shipped.
Appreciate very much your patience. Things are going slow.

Where the red arrow to point is that the plus (+) side?
I would like a confirmation because I make my own black and red cable.
To everyone, remember to mount the heat sink ...
Tibi my package arrived today
Regards,
Rudy
Yes, exactly, your arrow indicate +8V and is also marked near on J6.
With a multimeter you can easily check that other pin is ground by testing continuity with LA6541 heatsink.
On Shiga MKII LA6541 do not require a heatsink. You do not need to put one as LA6541 will dissipate in the double ground plane we have calculated and designed.

Hi Tibi,
Thanks, the first Shiga MK2 is playing now: Shiga Vicol MK2 - YouTube
Now 2 more to go

Tibi, I see that ADP151 is missing in some photos. Should it always be used? Thanks.
ADP151-2.5 is optional. The sound get better with ADP151, but will be stable only with ultra low ESR caps >=1uF before and after.
SMD 1206 1uF is only in X7R and will exhibit measurable piezoefect. So, if you mount him, you need to take extra care on pcb vibrations.

Tibi

Thanks. The ADP151 is included in my kit. Should the ultra-low esr caps be here too? Regards.
I always test first the power supply if there are 8 volt comes out and yes I measuring 8 volt
But the diode (MSR860) and the capacitor is way too hot.
Please tell me what piece is defect?
When careful unpacking I noticed that the display falling apart, see picture …
Also the board connector looks defect, where the ribbon cable of the laser comes in, this can never have worked see picture …
Tibi please tell me wat to do, must I sent the whole unit back?

Rudy

Hi Rudy,
Yes, please send it back. In the mean time I'll ship another unit to you.

Tibi, what caps do you recommend for adp 151? Thanks.

Mount AD151 only after you finish to mount Shiga and extensively test.
Sanyo oscon SP series 1uF/6.3V for input and 1uF/3.3V output.

Minimum capacitance I can see for SP series is 6.8μF/25V
Tibi, any news abt enclosures?
Regards
Because the enclosure is full aluminum and there are several CNC operations, the price I got from manufacturer is too high 440 euro for a min quantity 10pcs.
I'll change few parts to plastic or alucobond and see ...
Still looking for alternatives.

Sanyo oscon are no longer in production and therefore available value range is getting narrow.
Search for SS series as well. Anything between 1uF and 2,2uF is enough to keep AD151 out of oscillation. Bigger values will be hard to solder.

Tibi
Hi Tibi, my build continues. Thanks for all your help. I noticed that R57 is not soldered in some photos. What is its function? Have you provided schema for MKII? Thank you.
R57 is part of display adjustment and should not be mounted. It was provided in case I'll manufacture another display.

Tibi
Hi Tibi, please confirm that c52 should be 10uf and not 100 nf as in BOM. Thanks.
Yes, I confirm C52 must be 10uF, as is marked on PCB. This was reversed with C56 on pcb and schematic.
Follow PCB and pictures from my site and all will be OK.

Tibi
