Hi. I am guessing that this SK170 BL is a fake (please see attached image). Is there anyone still providing matched pairs?
Not looking good indeed. Spencer is a good bet for you I would think Shop FET Audio | Hi-End Audio Projects

Alweit on eBay. I got 2 quads from him a few weeks back
I am waiting for my 170 from Spencer. Meanwhile, do i need heatsinks for the IRFP240 & 9140? I don't intend to hot rod it. Also, do i need to matched these fets as well? Thanks.
Hi! I can't help about FETs, since I got the kit from Mike, but they get barely hot during normal operation. I'm using a pair of L-shaped bars.
I'm not hotrodding, but I think I'll want to try... So consider some additional space for a good sinking.
Thanks ghiglie. I am thinking of not having any heatsink at all. The position of the IRFP fets on the boards looks like it weren't design with heatsink in mind. Thanks.
Even not hodrodding, I think a little heatsink is needed - even if it's just a sheet of metal like this (from this thread):
An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

Insert the mosfets from underneath the pcb with bent legs and use the chassis base as a heatsink. I did this with my build and the base gets slightly warm.
