The higher value resistors may have problems turning the FETs off quickly at high frequencies. If you're only going to use it for bass, it may not be an issue. If you want to make sure it will be OK at higher frequencies, set the crossover to all pass and drive a 10k sine wave up to clipping. If the current draw doesn't increase as the signal level approaches/reaches clipping, it may be OK.

ok, ill do that. its just odd that i have to use higher value resistors.

There is a problem somewhere if you have to use different value resistors. Are you using IRF540Ns?

IRF540Ns will not work in many of the Rockford amps. I'd suggest using the 540 (no suffix) or the IRF540A (preferred).

I'm not sure what's causing the problem. They do different things in the various amps. It may not be your problem but I'd suggest replacing them with either of the two I listed before you spend too much more time on it.
