Ok i get nothing like that on the gates all i get is straight lines that all i get

If so, adjust the trigger level to see if you can get it to lock.

If you didn't notice, I made a correction on the timebase setting.

It should easily be able to lock onto the signal. Do you have a digital camera?

yeah i have a digital camera

ok lets see if im doing this right
if i plug the probe into input a or y
and set the volts divide on 5 and the time divide to 10 ms

i should get a reading?

If you touch the probe to the B+ terminal, how far up does it deflect?

Can you send me a photo at the highest possible resolution of the scope showing the setting and the display?

my scope took a crap i tryed to calibrate it and it wont even let me do that i should see a nice square wave but i dont

is there a way to fix this amp witout a scope lets say for example i dont have a square wave on the gates what would be the next step?

Did it ever deflect ~2.5 divisions when you touched it to the B+ terminal?

when i touched it on the battery plus i seen the line rise a little

Touch it to the B+ terminal and turn the vertical amp until it's deflected 2.5 divisions.

The scope doesnt work right trust me

when i power the amp up i got rid of the hissing noise but across the twisted wires i have 0 volts and the torriods get hot and the 337 t get red hot

wondering what i should check next i know its easier with a scope but mine isnt working

Repair work is MUCH easier with a scope.

I don't know what's happening. The 337 can't get any supply voltage unless the supply is working but the supply doesn't seem to be working because there is no voltage across the red and black wires. Did you place the black probe on the black wire and the red probe on the red wire (no probe on chassis ground)?

How much current is it drawing?

Ok i messed with a couple of things.

Now when the amp is powerd up i have 148.5 volts across the twisted wires.

The 317's and 337's get red hot where u cant even touch them.
its drawing about 6 amps of current at idle

the protection light is on also

There are 3 337s and 3 317s. Which ones are getting hot?

all of them are getting hot

also i checked the mic4420ct's and between some of the legs it reads 0 ohms
like red probe on leg1 black on leg 3 = 000 ohms

theese defective?

Typically, you would read nothing less than 300 ohms from leg 1 to any of the other legs.

Are both 4420s reading 0 ohms from 1-3?
