For those who have just found this thread, this is a Group Buy for the Jensen transformer used by Nelson Pass in the Sony VFET amplifier article, model JT-112-LCF. According to Dave Hill, General Manager at Jensen Transformers, that transformer is electrically equivalent to the PC board version, model JT-123-FLPCH. Also according to Mr. Hill, Jensen has just renamed the JT-112-LCF as the JT-123-FLCF.

European team independent buy group:less work for US volunteer less wait time for us.

Think if European go independent GB this be not damage for discount of Oceania, Asia or America group contrary imho this give positive impulsion less work with shipping and paper work. Believe me Jensen bulk is interesting if you buy 4 transformers than 1 is for " free " but only with big group buys and You Are One !

USA Group Buy

I have participated in many group buys over the years, so it's my turn to help out.

First, I called Jensen this morning and asked if the discount pricing would cover both the wired and PCB version and I was told it does not. Discounts only apply to that number of model units. Is what this means is that it is not advantageous for those of you who want the PCB version to be a part of this group buy. It would only be a few dollars difference. If you want to participate you will have to change your choice of transformer.

This puts USA at 16 members and 40 units of the JT-123-FLCF. The pricing would be $34.30 per unit plus shipping split between the number of members (UPS) from Jensen to me in Washington State, plus PayPal fees, plus shipping (USPS flat rate package $5.80) to you, plus any taxes.

PayPal will be the method of payment. That way I can use my PayPal account to pay Jensen.

I'm no expert at this and have family and other obligations like so many of you. Lets get this moving forward.

This is the schedule I would like to conform to.

By Monday the 19th use the list and call Jensen for shipping cost. This will give individuals the weekend to respond.

By Tuesday the 20th send out messages to all members on the list with payment information. This will close the list for further participation.

By the following Tuesday the 27th place the order with Jensen for those who have made payment via PayPal.

Excluse my silly question, but no discount for the PCB version? Have Soundhappy and you got different answers/prices?

Don't skip Oceanians , Asians , Canadians and Europeans.
For volunteer from US that be only one more shipping to Neoinc volunteer one more to me Soundhappy and few or one to Canada.
This is small and light transformers.
With big bulk purchase we have best price and this be very appreciated helpful hand

There were only 10 PCB models from USA and that is only a few dollars difference if you were to purchase it yourself, plus you would not have an extra shipping charge.

For those who have just found this thread, this is a Group Buy for the Jensen transformer used by Nelson Pass in the Sony VFET amplifier article, model JT-112-LCF. According to Dave Hill, General Manager at Jensen Transformers, that transformer is electrically equivalent to the PC board version, model JT-123-FLPCH. Also according to Mr. Hill, Jensen has just renamed the JT-112-LCF as the JT-123-FLCF.
