It is recommended for the open baffle speakers, like my Sangreal, as the back wave cancels the front wave, there is no big problem with side reflections...
I prefer a more traditional approach, and in my room it would be difficult otherwise...
I had surround system before, now, with the Sangreal, in stereo, I get almost 360 degrees, but without the instruments changing place, very stable image...
