Congratulation Alex! Enjoy your amp.
Ouch... Listening to some nice smooth jazz I heard some clicks from speakers and thought that something is arching under the chassis in my amp prototype... But saw nothing wrong... Then realized that that were clicks of the vinyl playing by Pandora radio.
Amp looks most retro.

Do you make the transformers Covers or buy them?
I have been collecting sauce pans for covers for toriods.
THANKS Phil
You can buy those from eBay. I purchased 2 for SS project.

On eBay, you can find, different size, vintage round cover . It's impossible, to make them, at home.Do you make the transformers Covers or buy them?

Well, my latest amp build isn't quite finished yet, so I decided to do something extremely useful instead. Not exactly an amp, but close enough. Testing out some ideas for my next amp build, this is what I ended up with. Some might argue this is not the best use for 5727 tubes, maybe even say this is possibly the least useful thing ever built with one, but I would have to disagree. Yes, it is a keychain. My apologies.

Steve - are you still around to repost these images? Here's my Transcendent T8 OTL chassis with the valves plugged in.
Different build, looks interesting. Two stage differential small monoblocs (300mm x 120mm) with Sowter 8920 used as splitter at input.
Martin, I am late to the show and rarely comment but your build is gorgeous! Very nice layout and chassis work and I suspect there was just as much that went into the circuit as the casework. So...where did your ideas come from?
The idea came from the design of the Viva 845 amp
http://audiograffiti.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/Image-Hifi.com-62015-Viva-Audio-Solista.pdf
The use of the 814 tube came from Ale Moglia
http://www.bartola.co.uk/valves/2013/11/23/814-se-a2-amplifier/
Thank you Martin. I read both articles with interest! You must be proud to have blended those sources to perfection. May your music take you further into bliss as a result!
I’m still thinking through my own A2 build using 811-10s. Check back in a year or so should you like.
Cheers!
