What OPT are those?

Finally finished my SE 300B amp. The tubes are 300B Ti from PSVANE, like them a lot, I have another 4 (different) pairs to play around with. I used toroidal output transformers from these guys: Transformatory toroidalne - Producent transformatorow Toroidy.pl ECC81 in the pre-stage, now Mullards. I also have a bunch of Telefunkens. There is a FET as current source both in the cathode and anode. The sound is absolutely STUNNING, never heard anything before like this. And I've built dozens of amps... Listening to open baffles with SABA green cones. This set up is 100% addictive!

Excellent 300B build congratulations Head1962 :note: :cheers:
Could You please write little more about PSU of this amp ? Thanks for nice DIY show.
Best regards

The power transformer is on the underside. I added the diagrams and some more pics. There are "electronic chokes" on both VB and VB1. The whole amp is dead quite. The 12.6V for the ECC81 is regulated and has a slow start up.

GM100 Next project.
I finished my double mono Telefunken RS607 a couple of years ago. Really still enjoy listening to them. I know of no SE triode amp with a more excellent bass. Needs about 1kW to be on.

I designed the pcb’s myself and had them made by Euro circuits. Same for the pre-amp pcb. There’s 1 little mistake on the pre-amp board. Easy to fix once I’d found it. On the psu, I didn’t put the little caps because I didn’t think it was necessary. I made 3 exactly the same amps. 2 worked beautifully, the third one (mine) needed the caps. The mains transformer is from Amplimo in Holland. 4N1885. The output trannies from Toroidy.pl. TTG-EL34SE. Why trannies for a EL34 you’ll ask. I think the impedance matches the 300B’s best. 3.2kohm. They also make a 3k version. They’re really really excellent. And an excellent quality price rattio too!! Need more info, let me know. Listening to Gregory Porter right now.

Thanks Head1962 for all technical information about Your new 300B marvelous. Hope I can build some DHT at moderate cost without exotic origin transformers. Sure amplifier together with FR open baffles who plays some jazz and small classical music ensembles can be enjoyable.
Do Charlie Mingus or Jacko Pastorius bass "shake" the room ?

Kind regards :sax::Piano::sing::note:

The price of the trannies should not keep you from building a DHT amp. I'm really happy with the Toroidy's from Poland. and they are really affordable, about half of what you would pay for a Hammond. As for bass, yes, there is plenty, I like the 2 artists you mention. There are also 2 Ripole woofers for the bass. go down really low.

@ Head1962
Your Telefunken mono block's are fabulous work with top quality craftsman.
Simply gorgeous ! Thanks for all Your kindnees

Make me think of the days I do visit local Audiophile shop with Mr Jean Paul who for the first time in my life give me a chance to taste music on old French Company "Audiomat " TM amplifier who was ~ 50kg heavy = only 12 watt's OTL ( eat 1KWA electricity too ) green resistors size was like my finger's btw , all with PHY/HP on the open baffles. Amazing memorable sound :cheerful:
