Overseas shipping started.

Got into two road accidents on two subsequent days, wounded right foot in two places and literally limped for two days in home and shipping got delayed.

Now back to work.

hi shaan, very interested in ordering a pair from you. your peeceebee has been my reference amp for years. now i see that i can have a new reference. :)

please tell me tho- will there be a 'trick' to make your v4 have more 2nd order harmonics?

lately i've been spoiled by the musicality of aksa- mainly how warm it sounds. just wish peeceebee could have the same warmth, even though everything else it's better than aksa by miles...

Hey! Long time no see.

The trick is to replace any one of the 100R feedback resistors with 82R then turning the trimmers to reset offset to zero. Done.

I call this technique Asymmetrical Cozy Feedback! :p :D

V4's ready whenever you are! :)

Correct, R5 and R6.

Warning: The low THD performance of V4 will be ruined by this mod and you may not like the end result.

However, if you want very low THD but dominant even harmonics then you may need to run the amp at 1A biased Class-A (easily done with VR3 trimmer) with this mod. :)

As reported by mexakin in the original PeeCeeBee thread, there have been a mistake in the schematic. The indicators Q1 and Q2 have been swapped and have been shown for the wrong transistors. My apologies for this overlook in the schematic.

Correct indication: Q1 = BC556B, Q2 = BC546B. Corrected schematic attached below and will be linked in the first post.

The component indication in the Setup Guide linked in the first post has no errors. It is yet again suggested to everyone to follow the guide for assembling and setting up the boards.

Thank you all.
shaan

some questions

I am not sure if I should ask these questions here ,
I started populating my boards....
Those ceramic capacitors really have to be on 500v?
Are the values critical? Instead of 47pf can I use 51pf?
I already have 1k trimpots , can I use those( not to buy 500ohms) ?

You can use 100V ceramics. These capacitors are always loaded by both AC and DC so a higher voltage capacitor will be sturdier in this respect.

51pF is absolutely fine.

You can use 1K trimpot. Before soldering just turn them to measure 500-600 ohms between legs 1 and 2.

Lastly, yes you can post all your questions here. :)
