Did you ever try these with 12PW drivers in?That is where these started:
dave
They would have to be MUCH bigger boxes.
The SDX7eN are the same size but need a much smaller box. The volume for each SDX7 is somewhere between about 15 litre (sealed), the A12pw really want 35 litres each and best vented.
The A12pw in the big MTM are a tiny bit better voicng match with the A7.3eN, and goes a bit lower.
These fit my room a bit better and are better suited to adding subs.Probaly feathered in at 30-50 Hz.

Would anyone on here want either a pair of FHXL's or 10p pencil kits. I had some machined ages ago and just don't have time or space to build them up, and now with the drivers dwindling.
Would let go for beer money, collection only from Bristol.
18mm Birch ply, CNC'd. I think the rebate for the 10p Pensil was 5mm not 10mm but otherwise should be good.

Hello ,Here some little steps of the progress Sibelius clone.
Very nice, heavy and stiff cabinets.
Any update on the build .... eagerly awaiting
Haha less time but I think today I'll install the other side panels.
No side panels but a beginning of the feet plates.

I picked up (pre-owned) MAOP 7 in "Evansound" slotted cab for TLonken conversion. While sounding exceedingly refined and non-metallic, had less detail and dynamics than, say Michael Audio AlMg cone of the same size. So my plan is to "treat" in every possible way the cheaper driver before doing my Alpair 10.3 at 8X cost or even thinking about MAOP 7 at 13X incl. cab.I haven not seen a MAOP 10. I am temptedt o do my MAOP 7. They are a tiny bit better than A7.3eN, so i would expect great thing from them.

Michael Audio (related Hifi Bird, Isred, MKhifi) "drum paper" drivers are my favorite fullrange 4/5/5.5". The experimental metal cone 4" exaggerates paper 4" high-frequency faults (6khz down, 8-9khz hot) but has much better bass (though worse treble extension hence fine detail). Possibly good for some applications like that "stereo console" posted to the photo gallery or maybe uber-omni.
Back to the MAOP 7 -- maybe EQ up 5khz and above 10khz would help a bit.
Are these custom made? How much did they cost?
I am thinking of starting with a DIY wider wooden base mostly to stabilize them.
Thanks!
Hi according original version. See drawings in my previous posts. It is coming out great ...what is the wood thickness ...
Added a side panel to one cabinet.
All panels still very roughly sanded but that will be okay later when the cabinets are ready for fine sanding .
