The first GB was intended to be European and only turned worldwide after people kept asking for it.
I can't produce transformers for every nation or voltage in the respective power networks.
But for 110V, the Mouser PSU from the BOM should do, for 230V my solutions is what I recommend.
Obviously, anybody is free to have differing opinions and use different PSUs.

Best regards,
Jokener

spec one with dual 115vac primaries and you have it all (except some really minority voltages that i cant even think of right now, Japan maybe, but i cant remember theirs) covered, thus why they are called universal. put the primaries in series you have 230, put them in parallel you have 115 (it could pretty easily be used on 110 or 220 as well)

your GB... all good, its just a suggestion since this is such a large international GB to cover a much larger range of people with no penalty, only a better price due to more sales.

The Mouser sourced PSU would still be cheaper and do the job just as good.
People outside the USA would have to fit their own plugs, but that would not be different for "my" PSU.

I'll see what I can do, but right now I don't think I'll change the current transformer solution.

Best regards,
Jokener

About the electrical outlet this is quite simple actually if you have one exemplary of your transformer : if it has only 2 rounded pins it's type C plug and it'll work in most EU (and worldwide) countries except UK and some others (C males plugs works into C,E and F "wallplugs"), but if it has a hole (for grounded pin) it's the type E and is still compatible with F outlet. If it has the two earth clips on the top and bottom of the plug it's type F and isn't compatible with E outlet.
There are also plugs which combines E and F : http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/5/5d/CEE_7-7.jpg and as such are compatibles with E and F outlets
Or if the plug is 3 rectangulars pins it's UK compatible
Anyway everything is explained here : Electrical Receptacles, Electrical Outlets, Electrical Plugs, Adapter Plugs

@bobkojek: I suspect it would be over 500g.
The new shipping boxes have not arrived yet, so I can't measure their weight.
My neighbor just had a machine failure and needs a 12000€ tool reworked.
The machine is supposed to be up and running by next Thursday, my boxes are 2nd in the waiting queue.
I'll check their weight as soon as the boxes get here.

@Jelle: At the very top of this thread, there is a button labeled 'thread tools'.
That is where the unsubscribe button is for me, maybe the subscribe button is in the same location for you.

@Presbel: Noted.

Okay, I think I will order the component kits either this weekend, or early next week.
Because right now the availability looks good, I can source all components from Mouser/Farnell (and the rest from my local dealer at almost the same cost).
I will order quite a few extra component kits to sell later, but extras on later orders would not be possible until the next order round.
