Just finished the 2 disc set of Eva Cassidy’s Nightbird that arrived by Amazon delivery before lunchtime on my birthday. Completely remixed set of the entire evening of January 3rd ‘96. Included all the tracks of the original “Live at Blues Alley” with some extras - biggest surprises of those being “Chain of Fools”, and a pretty rocking version of “Caravan”. Already kicking myself in not buying the DVD, but there’s always next year, and I’m sure I could regift this 
Mingus At The Bohemia.
About 10 years ago I started discovering jazz for myself, just by listening, didn't know anything about it or the history. I found I was particularly taken by Monk and Mingus and subsequently found out I had naturally good taste
I guess there were two albums released from the recordings at the Cafe Bohemia, the second one is just called "The Charles Mingus Quintet + Max Roach", and I got a copy for Christmas!
I have not listened to it yet, as there is a large coniferous tree blocking my path to the turntable.

Maybe the difference is due to 33 rpm (Spain) vs 45 rpm (US).
Btw, with vinyl rips the cartridge is very important. Same equipment with different cartridge -> different DR. A very good cartridge is very very expensive!
It is a very expensive hobby if you want an excellent sound.

This morning I had the test with foobar2000 1.4.1 (32bits). Now I listen again the Spain Remastered (reprocessed by me) with JRMC 24.0.72 (64 bits) and the difference is very great.
Years ago, with JRMC 21 or 22 (32 bits), foobar2000 had better sound or equivalent. foo was my favourite player. Now it seems that the difference is only increasing in favor of JRMC 64 bits. Why? 64 bits? I do not know.
