I might have said this before, but man can he slide that 'bone
Sesame Street and Flintstones are too much fun as well - that's one talented family those Marsalises - or is it Marsali?

Oh, and like Gene Harris, Monty always seems to find a few extra notes on that keyboard

Music while cooking breakfast. It sounded amazingly natural, like that '57 Martin and the vocalist were right in the room with me! The great John Statz playing a cover of "Just Before the War." With tubesguy, who was also snowed in here after the concert.

BTW, here's the original version of the song, written and performed by Peter Mulvey.

Coincidentally, the guitar that John was playing in our kitchen was the one Peter used in that video.

U2 - Zooropa
Pink Floyd - Delicate Sound of thunder (next one up)
Good pick. Like Zeppelin, I have to get the Floyd out. Its not an everyday week or even monthly thing. Until I acquire the taste. and it satisfies the pallet its worth the wait. Not that I try to wait, I just have to be in a certain type mood for it.
Sounds like it was a good night lol.Wife was still asleep. So it was tubesguy and me in the kitchen. I'm still impressed with how well we were able to simulate Statz's visuals (yes, he does resemble Charlie Kelly).

I get the idea that tubesguy has been there and done that........since long ago lol.Any time you have one of your favorite musicians playing a private show, then spend all night drinking and talking, followed by more music, I call that a good night.
We may have damaged tubesguy a bit...
Yup, it's something special to have a private show, glad you all had a good time.
I have done some really special backyard productions where I pulled live sound to die for.....intimate atmosphere and limited numbers can make for legendary nights

Miles Davis : Blue in Green = Premium Scotch Whiskey [on the rocks ofcourese!]
I am glad you put whiskey on the rocks, had it been scotch whisky this would be a grave sin...
