Sessions Seven, one of those dance compilation CD sets, done in 2010 - borrowed from the libary. Listening on the UULE, ...
I thought this would be a disaster, full of dreary rap, and repetitive pap, . Surprise, ... highly listenable to, many of the tracks have very interesting experimentation with sound colours, and texture - very little, virtually nothing, that one would dismiss as drivel. Worse elements are the often heavily processed backing vocals, but many of the raw sounds have been added in essentially pristine form, and are very entertaining to listen to as they intertwine in various patterns ...

The Köln Concert by Keith Jarrett inspired me to create a thread posing the question of which pianos he played.
The album should never have happened. The concert started very late at night (11:30pm) because it was the only time slot available at the venue. It was performed by a sleep-deprived, tired musician suffering back pain made worse by a very long drive. He had to make do with a tired baby grand piano intended to use for warming up and practise, wheeled in by stage hands who didn't think to go and look in the basement for the actual concert grade grand piano (it was the same brand, just a very different model). It was recorded on a very old tape recorder with very old microphones. It was organised by an 18-year old girl who had no business arranging sold out jazz concerts in a very prestigious opera house. Despite all this, the album became a legend, sold more than 3.5 million copies and established ECM Records as a big player.

It is only for some, but with a great compassion assorted audio notes cheat tears into my eyes.
This is the true mark of greatness.
Or is it only sign of my wackiness?
