Pending on what you intend to feed them with, I wouldn't be concerned enough to implement any high pass filter at all. Especially the 15", but the 12" can also tolerate some abuse.
If you ever find yourself exceeding xmax and get some distortion, then implement the hp, but make a switch with a bypass.

if the driving amplifier has low output Z and a 600uF cap with low loss were used then the 200 liter closed box would look like so. A low source impedance is vital to get the impedance down in the "boost" region.
An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.
Hi Scott,
Thank you for the box design. Not saying that I will build it right now, but it's on my wish list (gotta get the drivers first). Despite all horns, Open baffles, there is something appealing behind the simple plain big box
It's something like naturally aspirated 7.0 l V8 engine, of the 60's muscle cars. No turbo, but just plain simple and powerful, and sounds amazing

Link to post with info on 101 liter box.

"?" indeed. If I input a simple sealed box of 100l in winisd, the max spl graph (xmax limited) gives a maximum of 105db at 50hz, with a power input of 50w. The cone excursion hits 5.25mm and we're at 19v at the driver. Edit: to compare apple to apple: output @40hz is 101.5db when xmax is reached.
Once a Linkwitz transform is applied (f0=70, q0=.85, fp=50, qp=.71), the EQ will eat into the available power. We start in the midrange with 15w for 105db. But there's +2.5db @50hz, +4db @40hz, +6db @20hz, with the corresponding power increase. So the final curve gives 105db @100hz, a f3 at about 50hz, a f6 at about 37hz.

Which datasheet?
Would you please link to the datasheet you are talking about.
I can only see 3,5mm here listed on the Fane website.

Since the 3.5mm one is more recent, I guess they corrected an error. Too bad

Yeah, with a xmax of 3.5mm, winisd and your sims match. 100l sealed+LT (and a mild hpf) gives a max of 103db in the midrange, f3 at 49hz, f6 at 38hz.
If I read correctly your post 343, it's a 100l BR with a port of 13*36cm, tuned at 30hz ? Displacement under 25hz goes crazy, isn't it a concern ?
edit: of course, once corrected the 200l sealed isn't that good anymore. Less than 1db of improvement over the 100l one.
