On cleaning up I've found one pair of Motorola MJ2955/2N3055 from the 1970ies recently. Used, but in good condition. I can remember that I pulled them from a pair of Elektor's EQUA amplifiers when one pair got blown by an output short (the EQUA output protection isn't that reliable...) and I decided to replace both pairs by MJ15003/04 :).
