What are you measuring, raw driver, driver on IB, driver on OB, system on OB, which drivers?
Measurement parameters? In room? Outside? Gating? Sine, pink or MLS? Graph smoothing?
That looks like a very good start!
Sorry. No not raw driver. The full completed speaker on OB.
That is 10" Neo, 15" (3mH) + 15" (6mH)
I will do raw drivers later
I see a lot to like in that chart. I'm curious to know the geometry of your listening set up. How far apart are the speakers and how far back is your listening position?
The house is open plan with highish ceilings. I am testing one complete speaker.
I sit about 15ft back from the speaker

In room
System on open baffle
AN 10" Neo, AN 15" Cast Frame (3mH), AN 15" Cast Frame (6mH)
Sine sweep
1/6 Octave smoothing
Damn! I only want them as wideband mids, so soft on top probably wouldn't be a problem. Go on, test them anyway! Thanks Buzz. You saved me some money. I won't need to test these out after all.
Great thread, and thanks for all the work Melon! I just built a pair of AN super 12" in a 5.6 ft ported enclosure. I used concrete form tubes and cast concrete enclosures (1/2" thick). Cabinets are very dead, but now i'm wondering if the drivers need a front baffle for reinforcement. They sound quite nice, particularly on simple voice / guitar / piano etc. On tracks with more going on they seem to get congested. I am also starting to wonder about highs. Some drum sounds just seem to "die" rather than resonate -- but that could be more of a recording issue. Unfortunately I don't have a good reference speaker to compare them to (or measuring tools). It sounds like you are very happy with the highs on the AN 15" -- I may have to look into trading mine in and starting over. Thanks again for all your insight.

Consider getting some headphones to compare your speakers to.
My favourite is the Denon AH-D5000. The AKG K701 is also good but quite different. You need to demo them to know what you like
