Hi Folks,
I'm currently packing up for a big move from Ottawa, Canada down to San Diego, California, so I've got lots of audio goodies to clear out.
I would be open to shipping anything, but the buyer is to pay the actual shipping costs. I am also happy to have anyone come pick things up here in Ottawa, or I would also be willing to move a few things to San Diego where they could also be picked up in person sometime in late January. Payment is required in advance if this is desired.
I would be happy to break down any of the loudspeaker offerings and just ship the drivers/parts. Prices don't change.
I will keep a running list here in the first post of what's available and what has sold. I will post pictures and descriptions of items in the following posts.
Cutoff for pickup in Ottawa is January 7th. Pickup in SD would need to be after January 25th. I can ship items from Canada only up to the 7th. I can further ship items from San Diego in late January, but payment will be required in advance.
All items listed are in very good or excellent condition. Any issues or flaws are clearly noted. Everything is functionally perfect unless specifically listed as otherwise.
I strongly prefer local pickup in Ottawa, so priority will always be given to that scenario. Prices are all in US Dollars unless you are picking the items up in person, in which case CAD is good.

Item 1 - Goldwood 18" H-Frame Subwoofers
These are built to exactly the specifications outlined in MJK's article on H-Frame subwoofers here:
Jordan JX92S OB with a Goldwood GW-1858 Woofer in an H Frame Project
Both woofers are in perfect condition, and have only light use. These subwoofers actually sound very good, and far exceeded my expectations for both extension and quality.
The boxes are pretty sub-par to be honest... not my best work by a long shot. Functionally they are great, but cosmetically they are poor. They would require some wood filler to even things out, and there is no finish on the bare MDF boxes. Plans were to wrap these in white automotive vinyl and add a grey fabric cover on the front. I never got around to it, and these are way too big to keep in the new place. Selling for the price of a single driver.
If you want to see what a large driver in an OB setup sounds like, this is about as cheaply as you can do it!

Item 2 – 1 Pair Dual CSS SDX10 sealed subwoofers
These are stacked dual sealed 10" subwoofers featuring the Creative Sound Solutions (CSS) SDX10 subwoofer drivers.
Driver info can be found here:
Creative Sound - Product Details
Boxes are 12" wide, 16" deep and 24" high. Each driver has a dedicated volume, and each is tuned to a Qtc of 0.7 as per the datasheet. I can wire these in series for 8 ohms, or parallel for 2 ohms. Choice is yours.
They are made out of 3/4" MDF, and are very well made. Joints are all spot-on, and box condition is good, but unfinished. These could be completed with a quick sanding and a simple application of any desired finish. Biding posts are big nickle plated Dayton posts.
Drivers alone sell for $675. All drivers are in perfect condition, and have minimal use.
These subs sound very good. Flat extension down to 40Hz, and with some EQ 20Hz is easy to achieve. Very high output capability, and excellent sound quality overall from these compact 10" drivers. I was using these with the B&G RD-75 drivers, and it was a great match crossed over at 210Hz.
Just to be very clear, there are two boxes like the one in the picture. They are intended as a stereo pair of dual 10" subwoofers.

Item 3 – 1 Pair Behringer Truth B2031P 8” two way monitors
Not much to say about these. They are about 2 years old, have seen very little use, and sound exceedingly good for any loudspeaker, never mind one that is so low cost.
For me, this is the reference against which DIY speakers should be measured if they cost $400-$500 to build. These measure very well, and sound as good as they measure.
Some light scuff marks on the top of one, the other is pretty much perfect.

Item 4 – B&G RD-75 Planar Transducers (Line Arrays) in finished sealed boxes
Next up we've got a pair of B&G RD-75 planar magnetic line arrays. These very special drivers are mounted in an 81" tall enclosure which is 10" deep and 6.25" wide. Both boxes are very well finished in white 3M automotive vinyl wrap over 3/4" MDF. The covers are a grey acoustically transparent fabric and the frames of the covers fill in the void between the driver and the sides of the box making for a perfectly flat baffle.
These are very well damped on the inside, and provide a very neat and clean look for the drivers while maximizing performance. Response is good down to ~200Hz and this makes them easy to cross over to a subwoofer.
A single pair of Dayton posts and plates adorn the back, and the base is 3/4" MDF which was CNC cut and finished in white.
I'm not willing to ship these drivers without the boxes as they are extremely delicate, and would not survive a trip outside a proper box. Even in the factory boxes, I originally got a defective unit that had to be sent back. Both these test good, and I have full measurements of each ribbon. I strongly prefer to sell these in person, as shipping will either be extremely expensive, or impossible to some locations.

Item 5 – Behringer DCX2496 with upgraded (OPC) I/O board
This Behringer unit is about 3 years old, and works perfectly. I have replaced the analog I/O board with a dedicated upgrade board that lowers the overall gain and provides much higher quality analog inputs and outputs.
Unit functions perfectly, and performs much better than the original.
Upgrade board details and measurements here:

(Look for the DCX upgrade board link under line level at the top)

Item 6 – Behringer DEQ2496 – Stock
This is a simply a 4 year old totally stock, and perfectly functional DEQ2496.
I bought it brand new from PE, and used it for a long time with my Vifa TC9 line arrays. It's an excellent device as long as you stick to digital inputs and outputs.
These pictures do not show the rack mounts, but I have them here and they will be included with the unit.

Item 7 – Dayton ECM8000 Measurement Microphone
This is a 4 year old Behringer ECM8000 microphone in perfect condition. It was purchased along with the DEQ2496, and the two make a great room correction system. This microphone includes the original case (which is has always been stored in) and a wind cover.
The ECM8000 did not come with a calibration file like the current Dayton version does. There are general EMC8000 cal files out on the net, but the microphone has a reputation for being quite flat as-is. Certainly more than enough for loudspeaker measurements.
If you need better there are always the NTI and RS parts below!

Item 10 – DIY Vifa 4.5” two-way loudspeakers
I built these a very long time ago, and they have long since been replaced on my desk by a smaller set of Vifa TC9 speakers.
They feature a very good Vifa DX25TG-05 1" tweeter and a Vifa P11WH-00-08 4" midwoofer. They come complete with crossovers (Solen caps and inductors), and actually measure pretty flat, but the bass extension is limited.
Take them as they are, or strip them for parts...

Item 11 – Music Hall MMF2.1 Turntable with Goldring Elektra cart
This is an older model, but still works very well. This was my personal table for a long time, and it has been carefully dialed in. The captive cable has been replaced with two RCA jacks and a separate ground cable.
Lots of damping added underneath, and a bit of blue sugru to tame the arm holder which used to resonate strongly with test tracks.
The top cover is in poor condition (pretty scratched and weathered, but functional) but the table itself is in pretty good shape (7/10).
Please note that the price includes the original Goldring Electra cart and not the Denon shown. The price also does not include the record clamp. The cork mat is included however.

Item 12 – Asahi Kasei AKD4399 DAC Development Board
This is an official "Sound Quality Evaluation Board" from AKM for the AKD4399 192kHz 32 bit DAC.
It works perfectly, accepts SPDIF or TOSLINK inputs and provides SE outputs.
It sounds great and measures very well.
Here's the user manual:

I was using this for a long time to feed my SE headphone amp from my PC.
