Modifying 100 watt LXI amplifier circuit

It is likely that anyone who is looking for the schematic of an LXI amplifier will consult this thread. I would like to add some pertinent informations. The schematic shown on post 1 is a partial schematic of the LXI AM4002 (chassis 797-15015). Besides the fact that there is no reference to the actual part numbers on the board, there are two errors. The PNP output transistor (2SB755) is shown the wrong way, the collector should be connected to the negative supply rail. The resistor (R318 on the board) that is connected between the negative supply rail and the emitter of the current source transistor (Q306, 2SC2229) is a 120 Ohms resistor, not a 1.2kOhms resistor as shown on the schematic.

The "updated schematic" on post 19 has one more error. The emitter and collector of the voltage amplification stage transistor (Q304, 2SA949) are inverted in that schematic. It was correct on the first schematic.

This is an old thread, I know, but since these errors have never been corrected...

To add some additional information...

The picture in post #13 is of an amp made by Inkel in Korea, and also sold as either Sherwood S-602CP (most likely) or could be its little brother S-302CP. The S-602CP was rated 60wpc and the S-302CP rated 40wpc. Both from around 1980-1982

I have restored one S-602CP and still have it. It is a fine sounding amp. The S-302CP is very rare, used the same PCB as the S-602CP but with fewer parts installed.

Schematics and Service Manuals should still be available for at least the Sherwood S-602CP
