I really think you need to read up a lot more on tubes/valves, how they work and how to build them before diving in.

I'm not being hard on you, I just think it will benefit you more at this stage.

Then the guys here can help you better also.

Yes, thats exactly what I'm doing =)
I'm asking you here and I'm also reading on the internet BUT, just as you say it would benefit me more if I was reading more on the internet and then ask you.

It's just that it feels better asking you on this site. Easier ;)

OK, I guess I'm not the best at explaining things via text either, so my apologies for that

Keep reading, and asking questions.

Oh! tinitus, that is so true.

It's nothing to apologies for ;)
I'm not used to the strange words you encounter when trying to understand the tube amps. :) :) :)

Something I thought was difficult to find on the web was about power transformers och choke transformers.
Maybe you can explain that, if you want ofcourse ;)

That PDF I linked and that site I also linked will explain these things and more.

The pic here is just one page from that PDF I linked for you, there are basics that you need to know and the PDF will explain a lot of these.

let me ask you a question

what is the main difference between SE(single ended) and PP(pushpull) tube amps ?

simple question, simple answer

eeem... let's say a pushpull requires at least two tubes to operate while a single ended must have at least one. Single ended take a single input and produce a single output, they are the most basic amps. They are all class A (single ended). In pushpull the signal is split into two signal. These two signal are opposite each other... i think.

I think that's what I know about pp and se.
Am I completely helpless or did I wrote something correct?? ;)

good
you even got the part right that SE needs to be classA
thats good

next question

what is the main difference between SE and PP OPT's (output trafos) ?

Thank you very much
I don't like it when ask me all these questions ;) ;) ;)
It should be I asking them to you..... =)

Regarding your question......... eeeeeeey????

no, I'm serious
a couple of years ago I was where you are now ;)

but you see why I ask

your job is to find the answer
and carefully notice what is being said, and written

which is why I wrote OPT's(output trafos)
some may write OT

I only have a couple more questions for you
then you may need a better 'coach' ;)
