Dear all,
As I see a group of fellow DIYers with lots of experience around tube output stages for DACs, I'd like to ask your opinion on a recent post of mine.
Essentially, I happily lampized my CD player and now trying to improve.

First, some questions-
What DAC chip are you using?
What are you intending to drive with this setup?
How much signal output do you need? Often gain is not really needed or even desirable.

Your voltage out DAC has differential outputs so another all-tube solution could be this: Balanced-Ouput DACs and Tubes and Aikido

I've been thinking about it myself: https://www.diyaudio.com/forums/digital-source/174820-marantz-cd-5003-mod.html#post5754005

Hi Lingwendil,
The DAC is the MN6471/4 and the CD player needs to drive a tube amp (AMC CVT3030). Please refer to the original post with the schematic details.
Not sure about the gain, standard line-in signal is ok.
In any case the signal directly out of the dac is already strong enough as I tried to connect it to the RCA sockets, completely bypassing the output stage. Decided not to keep it as I didn't like what I was hearing.
