The mechanical engineering sounds wonderful, I can do without "In the audio range, capacitance and inductance of a cable changes radically as the frequency changes".

One word is missing change to "changes impedance radically..."

mildly OT but this is the most amazing attempt to couch a well known concept in mystique I have seen all week UpTone Audio USB REGEN | AudioStream

Of course it's possible that some USB DACs are designed by people not good at mixed signal design, but I would hope that is the exception!

There is only one arm I have not heard sound from and that is the Basis Vector or his super arm. A very nice arm from a very bright guy.

Arms can make a difference. I used to have a Breuer arm, and it was WONDERFUL! Unfortunately, it was burned up in a firestorm, and I can never replace it, so I use a cheaper arm that is more affordable. It's OK, but I DO hear the difference.

Yes unwanted sound. Every other arm I have tried has some the Vector doesn't.
I haven't found a record it won't track. The basics are right and the details, gotta respect a man who manufactures his own belts to .0001".

Patrick I got it in Germany, and they accepted my use of it in workshops as an academic purpose.

As far as I can see the software and hardware for all three versions is identical.

Yes, it is part of a electro-mechanical transducer. Like any microphone or speaker, each has his own signature.
It is fun to play with those colors for getting the ones you prefer.

As a sound engineer, I had to listen to my own work and the ones of others the most transparent way as possible, reason why I was so happy to get rid of all this junk with digital, that brought the ability to ear the exact colors that the musicians / producers / engineers had produced.
As much you enjoy very colorful pieces of gear, when you produce a record, using them as a painter use his colors, as much you need a very neutral monitoring system to can ensure the result on the master tape will be the one you listen-to during the mix sessions.

This arm/cart combo is mechanical also dead quiet and i never found limits in tracking.
