I've used my 108's in several alignments, and none of them has a 10db hole like shown in that graph. They do exhibit the little dip as shown in the Fostex graph, and sound fine with the dip, although when I apply +2db to +2.5db of EQ there they do sound even better. More EQ is too much and a fairly narrow boost sounds best to me. I believe there is either something wrong with the measurement or the alignment measured to come up with a 10db hole.
