What is your intendet operation point for the 2sk82?
I guess 400-500mA and 90-100V. You are good here whit 80-100R load.

nice to have someone who understand you sometimes :)

looking at the blue load lines pic at 90/100V voltage it seems that with 10V change we have near 800ma variation. so let say that we have 12/13ohm resistance here..

or i'm totally wrong :D

I was curious about R=1 Ohm of 2SK82
mentioned in datasheet from post #151.
Apparently this Ron is Vfet saturation resistance value.

ultrapath cap

hi folks, i have made a little change on my ironamp swapping the gate bias and just put a 56R source resistor . as some SET tube amp i 'm using the " ultrapath" capacitor between the source and the B+ and no bypass source resistor. is there a " magic" value or a calculator for this ultra path cap ? ( for the moment i use a 100uf MKP) and i feel i 'm missing some low end .

last bullet for the year.. i need some gain with my ironamp , i have now mine running with RC input instead of transformer with -20V bias on the gate. my plan to get some gain is to use this -20V to power a 2SJ74 direct coupled to the 2SK82 . what will be the `jfet source resistor value needed with this voltage?

i have build both and prefer the ironamp ( with some tweaks :) ) the 2SK82 will dissipate 33wat so not a big deal for a decent heatsink :)

Which tweaks?

Some of my thoughts on parts.

I have some spare Peter Daniel Rectifier boards

I have some spare 159ZL's sitting around. Would they be suitable?

I was think of some sort of RC circuit RC time constant / voltage calcultor to delay the relay powering B+ picking up.

And so on and so on......................
