C1 is hard to get in Germany too. I've checked all big vendors.
(To name them: RS Components, Schuricht, Bürklin, Segor, Reichelt, Conrad). Did I leave one out?
Whats about Elfa to deliver to Germany ( better Western Europe, where they does'nt seem to be in business)? Any experencies?

Regards, Andreas

Sorry,
forgot to say that Digikeys shipping costs to overseas seems nearly prohibitive to me. Handling and shipping exceeds alone the bill for P-A's PCB's, coils and shipping.
Fortunately I got the AD8620's from California via ebay from privat.
Incl. shipping less then 12 Euros, both of them. One piece is here around 16 Euros additional 5 for shipping.
So far it seems to make a lot sense to me to offer complete kits to get the builders going, open the package, heat the iron and have fun.
Its not really necessary to get 100 people doing the same job, hunting for the needed parts.
Again sorry, just my two (little bit frustrated) cents,
Andreas

Otherwise, if Elfa delivers to Germany, who needs Digikey? (Ok, there are parts, that are not distributed in Europe at all, like Panasonic Microfoncapsules, which Linkwitz used)
I'll get in contact with Elfa, but just waiting for a while, if there won't be a german customer, who solved the problem by a local vendor.
And the choice of C1? Better to need none, so far it seems to be clear, but I want to take your design 'as it is', and that kind of capacitor is really hard to get, and nearly unknown to most people dealing with the elektroakustic business, as you wrote on yourself at another place. But I'll try hard...

Regards, Andreas

I'll guess the speed of building is a bit slow at the moment. Maybe people are getting parts?

:cool:I almost collect all the parts, some stuffs is on the road.
the PCB board is a little bigger than what I imagined,I prepare a big OEM case(483¡Á80¡Á340mm),see attached picture.I will finished it at the beginning of February.
Your boards has a killer look btw.

Its not forgotten, but...

First i want to wish a happy new year to you and your family, and all other people anyway. Specially to all those working for this site.

Unfortunately, last year wasn't for a very good friend of mine, just around that time of my last posting here it turned out that his cancer disease wouldn't be beaten.

But i never lost that project out of sight, and feel now ready to continue. Fortunately got assistance in professional handmade sm soldering techniques meanwhile, and won't be too ambitious in getting some 'hard too buy in germany' parts, such as special condensators from your partlist, just make it work the best way i can. ( But luckily, this special super dupa operational amplifiers was the last things i got bevor breaking).
My trust in the methodicalness of your design was never broken and it will proof.
Btw. are there any pcb's in stock to order?

Best regards,
Andeas
