Just to report on some qualitive results.
I bought a pair of Sennheiser HD433, a big mistake. Next to no bass, low sensitivity and easy to distort the top end.
A friend has leant me a pair of old SONY DR25 which are surprisingly good.
With these in play the amp sounds remarkably clean and powerful. There is real snap and drive to drums and cymbals have suitable shimmer. Infact before the addition the feedback it might be better to describe the presentation as slightly aggressive. With feedback there is absolutely no hint of harshness, whilst still maintaining a very authoritive sound.
It just remains to thank everyone who help design this amp.
